We would like to tell you about another feature useful for warriors. By using a Sharpening Crystal you can improve one of the attributes of one of your items. Any piece of equipment can be sharpened, except for artifacts and ammunition belts. Each successful sharpening increases one of the combat attributes of an item, specifically: vitality, strength, protection, agility, or rage. The Crystal has no effect on magical attributes. You cannot choose the attribute to be improved, the Crystal’s magic works randomly.
On the Sharpening Crystal icon, click “Apply”, then select the item that you want to improve.
Combat characteristics do not always submit to the magic of the Sharpening Crystal. Each successful attempt to improve an item reduces the chance of improving the item further. After each sharpening, regardless of the success, the Crystal loses its magical qualities and disappears from the backpack. On the items that you have improved a symbol will appear (an arrow or a crown) of a certain color ( - - - - - ) which indicates the difficulty of the sharpening performed. You can find out which attribute was improved by looking at the information on the item.
You can only improve an item 6 times. The first increase in attributes is Rough Sharpening, which is followed by Good Sharpening, Professional Sharpening, Celebrated Sharpening, Legendary Sharpening and Signature Sharpening. The likelihood of a successful sharpening drops as the number of improvements increases, to equal half of the likelihood of the previous sharpening (see table below).
| Rough Sharpening |
- chance of successful sharpening 90%
- strengthens base stat by 15% |
| Good Sharpening |
- chance of successful sharpening 55%
- strengthens base stat by 28% |
| Professional Sharpening |
- chance of successful sharpening 10%
- strengthens base stat by 38% |
| Celebrated Sharpening |
- chance of successful sharpening 5%
- strengthens base stat by 45% |
| Legendary Sharpening |
- chance of successful sharpening 2.5 %
- strengthens base stat by 50% |
| Signature Sharpening
(item becomes non-transferable)
|
- chance of successful sharpening 1 %
- strengthens base stat by 55% and adds +1 stat Trauma and Endurance |
The stages of sharpening of an item are in strict sequence. If the item has never been sharpened, then the first successful sharpening will be Rough Sharpening (regardless of the rarity of the item being improved). So, if you improve a "green" item, the first successful sharpening will still be "gray". After a successful Legendary Sharpening you have the opportunity to make the item even stronger by upgrading it with Signature Sharpening. After a successful Signature Sharpening the item becomes non-transferable.
